Coming from a family of artists, Kaitlynn Elette has always had a passion for the arts. In High School she participated in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo art competition where she was awarded both the Gold Medal and Best of Show. She also had the opportunity to attend Kerrville Western Art Academy. Other than this, her art comes from being a self-taught artist. As an adult she is an award-winning artist bringing home 1st and 3rd places at the Beaumont Art League. Kaitlynn Elette is currently a student at Lamar State College in Orange pursuing finishing her Nursing Degree. As an artist she recognized that in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana that there was a need for more resources and involvement in the community. In 2019, She created a Facebook group called Artists of Southeast Texas which would quickly take off. By 2021, the group became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is now focused on community revitalization of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana through community involvement, charity work, and art education.
